Job summary

Allied Universal in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide exceptional customer service, and deter security incidents while maintaining a visible presence.

Responsibilities include access verification, incident reporting, and clear communication with staff and visitors. Minimum requirements include HS diploma, background check, and ability to lift 20 pounds; CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting observations and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and incident-reporting protocols.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate professionally with site contacts, and support a welcoming environment for personnel and visitors.
