Job summary

Allied Universal in Charleston, TN is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Customer Service Patrol. You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols in retail locations, and report incidents with professionalism.

The role involves access control and a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Help deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible professional presence and documenting incidents through reports.
