Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Newburyport, MA. This role offers flexible, dependable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $24.50 per hour. The role emphasizes customer service, incident response, and routine patrols to deter unauthorized activity, with a six-month anchor shift commitment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, laboratories, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
