Job summary

Allied Universal® at a financial institution in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol for part-time shifts. You will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, deter incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations.

The role requires a concealed carry permit, at least one year of security experience, and a high school diploma. The schedule is DayTime with specific shifts; pay rate is $25 per hour. Allied Universal offers training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking facilities, ATM areas, entrances, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related observations.
