Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) in Ottumwa, IA to protect people and assets at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will perform routine patrols, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include verifying authorizations, documenting observations, and collaborating with site leadership.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation is required.
• A drug screen is required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate to site contacts and leadership.
