Job summary

Allied Universal in Ottawa, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer for patrol observation and driving duties at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will perform unarmed security patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver strong customer service while adhering to policy.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a schedule that includes day shifts on weekends. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: valid driver’s license and freedom to work in required shifts.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service during security procedures and incident response.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unauthorized access calmly and following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and document entries and observations.
• Communicate with site contacts and leadership regarding security concerns.
