Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol with Digital Records) in New York, NY. The role involves serving at a financial institution, patrolling premises, verifying access, and preparing incident reports.

Schedule includes morning shifts with a flexible Claim a Shift platform to explore new shifts. The position requires minimal security experience, high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
