Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer at a government services site in New York, NY. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to staff and visitors, while following site policies and emergency procedures.

The role requires a NYS security license, at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug testing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and individuals accessing government facilities while carrying out security procedures and emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances and surrounding grounds.
• Monitor access points and deter unauthorized access and policy violations.
• Document incidents and patrol activity accurately and communicate information to site leadership.
