Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facilities services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard in New York, NY. You will provide unarmed security, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment.

The role offers part-time shifts (evenings/weekdays) with a focus on safety, compliance, and professionalism; you will contribute to a welcoming, secure setting for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Security Guard License is required.
• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff and service providers following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances and emergencies, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of assigned areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization, report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident and patrol reports and maintain logs.
