Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Herndon, VA. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access control, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence in a corporate tech/media environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling with a part-time shift pattern, and training and growth opportunities within Allied Universal's secure operations. Pay rate is $21.63 per hour, with a schedule including Fri/Sat night shifts.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a corporate technology and media environment by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, access points, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery activity; verify credentials and direct individuals in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site contacts.
