Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard in Herndon, VA. As an Unarmed Officer, you will patrol, monitor access points, assist employees and visitors, and provide customer service in a tech/location environment.

You’ll use tablets/computers to log observations and maintain security duties while upholding a professional demeanor. The role offers a flexible schedule, part-time hours, and opportunities to grow within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and/or changes in site conditions.
