Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Visitor Assistance in New York, NY. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deter security-related incidents while delivering courteous service to visitors and occupants.

The role emphasizes access control, incident reporting, and calm responses to emergencies. The position offers a part-time schedule with a pay rate of $17.50–$18.50 per hour and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and/or maintenance-related issues to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and appropriate personnel.
