Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in New York, NY to monitor and safeguard clients across cultural institutions. You'll provide friendly customer service, maintain a visible security presence, and respond calmly to incidents while following established procedures.

The role offers flexible daytime shifts (Tue, Thur, Sat 1:30 PM–6:30 PM) and pay rate $20.00–$21.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include 2 years of security experience, HS diploma, and a background

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Criminal history considered per law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas and perimeter to identify unusual activity and conditions.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and per procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor flow and event-related activities.
• Document patrols and incidents and report to Allied Universal leadership.
