Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in New York, NY. You will patrol retail areas, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff.

Schedule includes daytime and evening shifts (Fri/Sat 3:00 PM–11:00 PM). The pay rate is $18.48–$19.48 per hour, with career growth opportunities and benefits as part of a national security leader.

Qualifications

• State, county or city security license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, team members, and visitors by following site procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, communicating observations to site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations and report findings.
• Assist with access control, deliveries, and vendor activity to deter theft and disruption.
