Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol, Customer Assistance to provide reliable, on-site security and friendly service. You will work fixed anchor shifts with an option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across sites.

Pay rate is $17.00–$18.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow while maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors and exterior areas.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing guests and service providers.
• Document incidents and communicate details to site leadership.
