Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Washington, DC to provide dependable, flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour, minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience and a high school diploma. The role offers day shifts and potential progression toward full-time with scheduling options and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest floors, entrances, parking areas, service corridors, and the property perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and maintenance concerns to hotel personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate logs, patrol records, and incident reports with professional communication to hotel management and responding services.
