Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Assessment to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a financial institution. The role offers flexible fixed shifts with an anchor schedule and opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

You must be 21+, have 1+ years armed security or related experience, hold an Armed Guard Card, and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Serve as an armed security professional in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site procedures, and Allied Universal policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking offices, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, observe and report suspicious activity or unusual conditions, and complete required activity, incident, and shift documentation.
