Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for an unarmed patrol role at a technology-focused site in Houston, TX. You will provide reliable security, customer service, and access control while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will work daytime to evening shifts with a schedule that includes several weekly days. Prior security experience is preferred, and you’ll undergo background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a logistics and technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain logs.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, clear communication to leadership or responders.
• Assist in maintaining orderly movement of people and vehicles following traffic and visitor-management procedures.
