Job summary

Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol to provide customer service, perform site patrols, and maintain security procedures at an assigned site. This part-time role offers fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience and at least 5 years of security experience, with a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience is required.
• At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas, including building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
