Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Access Control) to protect clients across multiple industries. You will monitor entrances, control access, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a food and beverage location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business operations areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, while reporting unusual conditions or hazards.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting an orderly environment.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
Complete detailed activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
