Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Driver in Mount Vernon, IN. You will perform routine patrols, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to site policies and safety rules.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and firefighting experience, with flexibility to work day/night shifts as listed. Pay is $35.00 per hour and opportunities exist to grow within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Previous firefighting experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and designated operational areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and visitor activity.
• Follow required personal protective equipment requirements and communicate observed hazards or maintenance concerns to appropriate site personnel.
