Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driving Role in Mount Vernon, IN to monitor and safeguard a chemical/petrochemical site. You will drive a patrol, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to incidents while upholding the company’s values of agility, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unauthorized persons, vehicles, or observed policy violations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
