Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in South Chesterfield, VA to provide exceptional customer service, monitor entrances, and deter security incidents through proactive patrols.

This role requires a valid driver’s license for driving positions, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. You’ll join a team that values flexibility and a supportive, community-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, warehouse entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and access-related activity accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
