Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed to join our Ashburn, VA team. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts and increase earnings.

Pay rate $18.87 per hour. The schedule is DayTime Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, with fixed anchor shifts and a paid earn-more program. Ideal for individuals seeking part-time income and career growth in security.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other members of the school community while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures; assist with directing visitors and maintaining orderly entry and exit during school operations and events.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific reporting procedures.
