Job summary

Catapult Learning seeks a Part-Time Tutor to support middle school students with reading, math and writing, using our proven curriculum. This in-person role at Brooklyn Park Middle School is 3 hours per week (Mon and Fri, 9:15-10:15am), with 1 hour of prep included.

The tutor will advocate for students, deliver prescribed instructional methods, coordinate with school staff, and report progress to families. A BA is required; FBI/BCI background check is mandatory; teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• FBI/BCI background check required.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate and conference with parents about student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods determined by the Company.
• Attend training sessions and implement instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Supervise students and ensure safe transitions between sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files as required by agencies.
• Attend meetings/trainings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
