Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Part-Time Tutor/Assistant in Medical Lab for FY 2027. Under direct supervision, assist with lab equipment, support the instructor with setup and breakdown, and help students achieve clinical competency.

Job Description

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include, but are notlimited to:

• Provide assistance with the use of medical lab equipment andinstructional materials in the medical labs.
• Provide assistance to the lab instructor with equipment set upand breakdown.
• Assist instructors to check off students on their assignedclinical competency skills check.
• Instruct/assist students with the protocols and rationale forskills being practiced.
• Instruct/assist students with the proper use and function ofclinical equipment.
• Supply, equip, and maintain each lab to insure properorganization in the clinical science labs.
• Maintain lab supplies, inventory and records.
• Clean and restock supplies and equipment.
• Dispose of hazardous waste materials.
• Consult, coordinate, and cooperate with faculty/supervisor formedical laboratory activities.
• Monitor condition of equipment.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures for checking outequipment, supplies and materials to students.
• Adhere to OSHA Guidelines and lab safety and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lab Assistant License from the State of Nevada or MLS/MT or MLTnational certification.

Pay Rate

$12.00 Hourly
