Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Lab Technician for the Air Conditioning Technologies Lab in Las Vegas.

Under direct supervision, you will provide technical support for lab operations, assist instructors and students with specialized HVAC equipment, and perform routine maintenance on lab gear. The role requires an EPA card and (preferred) an AAS in Air Conditioning Technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience performing equipment maintenance.
• Ability to set up HVAC related machines.
• Proficient with systems and tools related to HVACR industry.
• EPA card.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for lab operations of scheduled and open Air Conditioning Technologies Labs.
• Support instructors and students with the operation of specialized equipment during labs.
• Technician will perform minor maintenance on specialized lab equipment.
• Technician will assist to ensure that labs are prepared and have proper inventories for classes.
• Technician will assist the instructor plan and prepare labs in conjunction with full time faculty.

Job Description

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determinedby department need. This position may close early if the hiringneed is filled or we receive to many applications.

Under Direct Supervision Air Conditioning Technologies LabTechnician Duties Include:

• Provide technical support for lab operations of scheduled andopen Air Conditioning Technologies Labs
• Support instructors and students with the operation ofspecialized equipment during labs

Required qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

• AAS Degree in Air Conditioning Technologies from an accreditedCollege/ University
• 2 experience in Air Conditioning Field

Schedule:

Hours are determined with Lead Faculty and aresubject to change.
