Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time School Test Administrators to administer TIMSS computer-based assessments in schools nationwide. The role involves coordinating with schools, collecting data, and ensuring timely transmission of results.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic data-collection experience, and strong English communication skills. Travel to local sites is required, with some overnight trips possible, using RTI-issued devices.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED
• One-year experience in field interviewing, data collection, teaching and/or working with children in schools
• Comfortable working in a school setting and in all types of neighborhoods
• Effective communication through speech and listening
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
• Available for entire training and data collection period
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile for business use
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, Chromebooks and internet routers

Responsibilities

• Administer computer-based assessments to students in schools
• Contact schools to discuss the study, confirm participation and review setup logistics
• Collect confidential information and administer standardized questionnaires
• Meet with principals or district personnel to gain cooperation
• Manage administrative duties and complete online trainings
• Travel to local or regional school sites; occasional overnight travel may be required
• Set up Chromebooks and access points for connectivity and troubleshooting
• Transmit data promptly after student sessions
• Maintain accurate records of progress and reports
• Submit Time and Expense reports
• Attend virtual meetings with project team
