Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time School Test Administrators to administer TIMSS computer-based assessments in schools across the United States. The role involves in-person testing, coordinating with schools, and handling confidential data using RTI equipment.

You will travel to local sites as needed, work about 15 hours per week when available, and participate in required training sessions. Strong English communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• One-year experience related to field interviewing, data collection, teaching and/or working with children in schools.
• Comfortable working in a school setting and in all types of neighborhoods.
• Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Available for training and data collection period.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, and equipment.
• Competent with internet and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer computer-based assessments to students in-person in schools.
• Contact schools to discuss the study, answer questions, confirm participation and review/setup assessment logistics.
• Collect confidential information and administer standardized questionnaires.
• Meet with local principals or district personnel to gain cooperation.
• Independently manage administrative duties, including conference calls and online trainings.
• Travel to local or regional school sites; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Use RTI laptop for activities, including entering information in web-based systems and emailing.
