Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time School Test Administrators to administer school-based computerised assessments for TIMSS. The role involves in-person testing in schools and coordinating with districts and school contacts. Training, travel, and data transmission duties are required.

Qualified applicants will have a High School Diploma or GED, English fluency, and ability to travel within the U.S. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED
• One-year experience directly or indirectly related to field interviewing, data collection, teaching and/or working with children in schools
• Comfortable working in a school setting and in all types of neighborhoods
• Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
• Available for entire training and data collection period
• Able to successfully complete training
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile available for business use
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, and other associated equipment such as Chromebooks and internet routers
• Competent with internet and computer applications
• Access to password protected WiFI connection for data transmission and administrative responsibilities
• Able to keep project information confidential
• Ability to travel, overnight as required
• REAL ID travel eligibility or acceptable alternative
• Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark

Responsibilities

• Administering computer-based assessments to students in-person in schools
• Contacting schools to discuss the study, answer questions, confirm participation and review/setup assessment logistics
• Collecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires
• Traveling to local or regional assigned school sites; occasional overnight travel may be required
• Managing travel logistics
• Reading text verbatim from paper documents and the computer
• Promptly transmitting data after student sessions
• Adhering to all project deadlines and maintaining accurate records of progress and administrative reports
