Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time School Test Administrators to administer TIMSS assessments in schools across the United States. The role requires in-person work with students, coordination with school staff, and handling of confidential data.

Training and travel may be required during the data collection period. The position is part-time with a typical weekday schedule during the data collection window, and involves travel to local sites.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• One-year experience in field interviewing, data collection, teaching and/or working with children in schools.
• Comfortable working in a school setting and in diverse neighborhoods.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Experience with tablet/laptop devices and basic internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Administer computer-based assessments to students in-person in schools.
• Contact schools to discuss the study, confirm participation and review logistics.
• Collect confidential information and administer standardized questionnaires.
• Travel to local or regional school sites and manage travel logistics.
• Setup Chromebooks and access points, ensure connectivity, and troubleshoot issues.
• Transmit data promptly after student sessions and maintain records.
