Job summary

RTI International is seeking part-time School Test Administrators to administer TIMSS assessments in schools. You will travel locally to school sites, set up Chromebooks, read from paper and computer prompts, and ensure secure handling of data and materials.

Training spans multiple sessions, with typical 15 hours per week during the data collection window. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience, a valid US driver’s license, and comfort with school

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in field interviewing, data collection, teaching, or working with children in schools.
• Comfortable working in school settings and with diverse neighborhoods.
• Effective communication through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English reading, writing, and speaking.
• Available for entire training and data collection period.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and a reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI-issued tablet, laptop, and related equipment (Chromebooks, routers).
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays when required.

Responsibilities

• Administering computer-based assessments to students in-person in schools.
• Coordinate with schools on participation and logistics.
• Collect and manage confidential information and standardized questionnaires.
• Meet with school staff to gain cooperation and set up logistics.
• Complete training and online modules; attend project meetings.
• Travel locally to school sites and manage travel logistics.
• Track permissions and communications with coordinators; log updates.
• Transmitting data promptly after sessions and maintaining records.
