Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California West Covina thrift store is seeking a part-time Sales Lead to support the Store Manager in daily operations, coach staff, and ensure a friendly, donation-driven shopping experience. You will help maintain inventory, implement loss-prevention measures, handle cash with care, and coordinate shift meetings while keeping customers and donors satisfied.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager in day-to-day store operations.
• Provide coaching, training and development to store employees.
• Ensure customer/donor needs are met by maintaining good relations; resolve complaints and deliver quick service.
• In absence of Store Manager and Store Assistant Manager, communicate personnel issues with District Sales Manager.
• Coordinate daily morning and shift-change team meetings.
• Maintain store and inventory levels; complete Rag Out from sales floor.
• Ensure Back Room Processing is efficient and meets daily goals.
• Oversee Donation Attendants and ensure policy adherence.
• Handle cash responsibly and implement loss-prevention measures.
