Job summary

The Salvation Army West Covina Thrift Store is seeking a Part-time Sales Lead to join our Retail Team. You will work closely with the Store Manager to run the day-to-day operations, coach team members, and ensure a positive customer and donor experience.

This role requires at least a year of retail experience (supervisory experience preferred), a high school diploma, and the ability to handle cash accurately, maintain inventory, and meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, donors and management.
• Must pass background check per organization policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations and staff coaching.
• Maintain strong customer and donor relations and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and daily banking per policy.
• Oversee inventory, loss prevention, and timely Rag Out from sales floor.
• Coordinate daily team meetings and support BRP/Donations processes.
