Job summary

Pine Tree Country Club in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Tennis Shop Attendant to provide friendly, professional service to members and guests. The role supports the tennis professional staff with shop operations, merchandise sales, and reservations, with training provided.

Ideal candidates are customer-service oriented, have flexible weekend availability, and are eager to learn. No tennis experience required, but knowledge of tennis or willingness to learn is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Active tennis player or knowledge of the game helpful.
• Proficiency with POS and tennis-related software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the shop according to management procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of POS transactions.
• Collect applicable fees from members, guests, and outside patrons.
• Make court, clinic, lesson, and event reservations.
• Assist guests by selling merchandise and providing information.
• Maintain displays and stock; keep the shop clean.
• Assist shop supervisor with displays and inventories.
• Support coaches to coordinate start and play times.
