Job summary

USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is seeking a Tennis Professional for a part-time, on-site role up to 28 hours per week. You will deliver high-quality instruction, promote player development, and provide a positive on-court experience for players of all ages and levels.

The ideal candidate brings strong tennis skills, coaching experience, and current USTA PTR certifications; evenings, weekends, and special events availability is required.

Qualifications

• Strong on-court tennis proficiency and the ability to teach players of varying ages.
• Experience coaching and developing players toward goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, parents, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, energetic, and engaging environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
• Demonstrate high-level playing techniques and lead dynamic drills and clinics.
• Proactively engage with clients and network to grow participation.
• Plan, organize, and execute programs including clinics, camps, drop-in sessions, and private lessons.
• Assist with organization and management of USTA events and tournaments (singles and doubles).
• Implement player development systems, incorporating Net Generation formats where applicable.
• Promote the USTA brand by delivering warm, professional hospitality to members and guests.
• Support US Open operations and fulfill assigned event duties.
