Job summary

The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is seeking a Tennis Professional for a part-time, on-site role. You will deliver high-quality instruction, promote player development, and provide a positive on-court experience for players of all ages and levels.

This hourly position offers pay between $25.00 and $45.00 per hour, with up to 28 hours per week, plus a 401(k) match after 1,000 hours of work within a 12-month period.

Qualifications

• Strong on-court tennis proficiency with ability to demonstrate advanced techniques.
• Experience with tennis instruction, coaching or player development.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate instructional methodologies and formats (ROGY).

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, energetic, and engaging environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
• Demonstrate high-level playing techniques and lead dynamic drilling lessons and clinics.
• Proactively engage with clients and utilize networking to grow participation.
• Plan, organize, and execute programs including clinics, camps, drop-in sessions, and private lessons.
• Assist with the organization and management of USTA events and tournaments.
• Implement player development systems, incorporating Net Generation format where applicable.
• Promote the USTA brand by delivering warm, professional hospitality to members and guests.
• Support US Open operations and fulfill assigned event duties.
