Job summary

The USTA National Tennis Center is seeking a full-time Tennis Teaching Professional to deliver high-quality instruction to players of all ages at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. This role emphasizes player development and uses USTA methodologies.

You will lead junior and adult programs, conduct private lessons, clinics, and team training, and assist with events during the US Open. Certification through RSPA/PTR and strong communication are required; evenings and weekends may be

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching tennis to juniors and adults.
• Experience coaching high-performance junior players.
• Strong understanding of USTA Player Development principles.
• Experience implementing R.O.G.Y. tennis formats and age-appropriate junior development programs.
• Current certification through the RSPA and/or PTR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality tennis instruction to players of all ages and abilities.
• Lead junior tennis programs across all NTC Pathways (10U, 10–14, 14–18) and adult programs from beginner to advanced.
• Provide individual and group instruction, including private lessons, clinics, and team training.
• Develop and execute drills, lesson plans, and training sessions tailored to players' needs.
• Support NTC events and tournaments and assist with US Open operations.
