Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Part-Time Teller to join our West Main branch. You’ll be the face of LMCU, delivering warm, accurate service while handling a high volume of transactions and promoting our products to help members achieve financial goals.

You’ll work on-site, contribute to fraud prevention, maintain cash drawer accuracy, and support branch growth with friendly, consultative member interactions. Equal opportunity employer, weekly pay and retirement options included.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of teller or related experience.
• Previous cash handling experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some college coursework or banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive member experience leading to member retention through proactive engagement, building trusting relationships with members.
• Transaction processing and cash handling: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, check ordering, wire requests; balance cash drawer daily; ensure accuracy and security.
• Product promotion/growth: refer members to products/services based on needs; meet referral and service targets.
• Learning & development: stay updated on products, systems, and digital platforms; provide accurate service and guidance.
