Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is seeking a part-time Youth Development Specialist- Technology to lead tech-focused programs for youth, supervise members, and ensure safe, engaging activities. Under the Program Director, you’ll develop curricula, support volunteers, and drive high-energy programming in coding, robotics, and related tech areas.

You will use the organization’s mission and values to set youth up for success, measuring outcomes and maintaining a safe, welcoming club environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Passion for working with youth.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to Club’s changing needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cooperative working skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and be comfortable adapting to new technology.
  • If 21 or older, maintains a valid driver’s license and meets eligibility requirements to drive Club vehicles.
  • Safety oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, organizes, and facilitates programs and activities utilizing a formal curriculum.
  • Directly runs programming and high-yield activities in assigned area.
  • Facilitate technology focused programming for youth of all ages and skill levels, fostering exploration and creativity in areas including but not limited to coding, robotics, design, and other relevant trends.
  • Plan and coordinate technology showcases/events to display youth’s projects and celebrate their achievements.
  • Administers outcome measurement tools.
  • Delivers programs with an enthusiastic, high-energy, positive attitude
