iHelpU is offering a part-time, entry-level opportunity for students to learn real-world tech repair while helping the community. You will train with experienced technicians, work with real customers, and build hands-on repair and customer-service skills.

Starting pay is $15 per hour. Location: 2307 Hoffman Drive, Effingham, IL. No prior professional repair experience is required; training will be provided, with scheduling considerations for school commitments.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review repair calendar and confirm priorities and completion times.
• Listen to customers, document symptoms and service needs, and ask clarifying questions.
• Diagnose common hardware and software issues using iHelpU.Tech procedures, tools, and resources.
• Perform approved device repairs and software services after training, following documented procedures.
• Provide patient, one-on-one software assistance and explain technical steps clearly to customers.
• Keep customers and teammates informed when questions, delays, or findings affect a repair.
• Protect customer privacy and handle devices and parts with care.
• Keep workstation, notes, tools, and customer property organized and documented.
