Job summary

Keefe HVAC is seeking a motivated apprentice to learn the trade alongside experienced technicians in Chicagoland. No prior HVAC experience is required—if you’re dependable, willing to work hard, and eager to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

This is a real career path; many lead techs started right here. You’ll assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance, learn to diagnose heating and cooling systems, and gain hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and start entry-level.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with installations, repairs and maintenance.
• Learn to diagnose and service heating and cooling systems.
• Help move, load, and set up equipment and tools.
• Keep job sites and service vehicles clean and organized.
• Build skills across hands-on tasks with experienced technicians.
• Learn reading job orders and communicating professionally with customers.
• Grow into more responsibility as skills develop.

About the role

Keefe HVAC is a residential and commercial HVAC company serving Chicagoland. We're looking for a motivated apprentice to learn the trade alongside our experienced technicians. No prior HVAC experience required — if you're dependable, willing to work hard, and eager to learn, we'll teach you the rest. This is a real career path: many of our lead techs started right here.

What you'll do

• Learn to read job orders and communicate professionally with customers
