Job summary

Saint Mary of the Lakes School in Medford is seeking a part-time teaching assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports PreK-8th grade students with reading, writing and math, and assists teachers with hands-on learning and differentiated instruction.

Job Description

St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church and School in Medford, is seeking a part-time teaching assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. Our school is vibrant with about 350+ students enrolled in PreK-8th Grades. We are looking for someone with experience working with young children for this part time role. Job responsibilities include supporting students in the classroom including reading, writing, and math skills. Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of supporting the teachers who provide educational practices including hands‑on learning, differentiated instruction and a belief in constructivist learning. Additional responsibilities include supervising students during lunch/recess. Candidates should have a commitment to Catholic education and enjoy working with children. Successful candidates have to pass fingerprint/background check and take VIRTUS Training. Salary will be minimum $18 an hour with daily hours on all full school days of 9AM-2:00PM.
