Job summary

LearnWell in Naperville, IL, seeks a passionate teacher for a part-time, year-round position in a behavioral health facility. You will provide academic support to 8–15 adolescent patients in a small classroom and work 20 hours per week, 8:00am–12:00pm, Monday–Friday.

You will plan daily lessons, offer individualized assistance, and regularly communicate student progress while adjusting teaching strategies to ensure success and maintaining attendance and session reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Illinois state teaching license.
• Comfortable working with adolescent students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Naperville, IL on a part-time basis year round. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 20-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm. Compensation Ranges: LBS1 32-35/hr, Gen Ed 26-28/hr
