Overview

At LearnWell, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Currently, we are seeking passionate and creative teachers to join our team in Mansfield Center, CT on a part-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans; provide individualized assistance to students; and regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success; maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Support class sizes typically ranging from 8 to 15 school-age patients at a time.

Schedule & Benefits

Position entails a weekly commitment of either 20 or 25 hours, Monday–Friday, in the afternoons ending at 7:30pm.
