Job summary

LearnWell in Aurora, IL is seeking a passionate teacher to join our team in a fast-paced behavioral health facility. You will provide academic support to child and adolescent patients in a small classroom setting during treatment.

You will plan daily lessons, offer individualized help, and regularly report student progress, while adjusting strategies to promote success. Class sizes typically range from 8 to 15 students.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Illinois state teaching license.
• Comfortable working with adolescent students.

Responsibilities

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Aurora, IL. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 20-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm.

Compensation Ranges: LBS1 32-35/hr, Gen Ed 26-28/hr
