The Virginian Golf Club Inc. is seeking a part-time Server for our Tasting Room in Bristol, VA. This role blends wine education with attentive service, guiding guests through tastings, pairings, and events in a refined outdoor setting.

You will engage guests, share knowledge of wines, and ensure seamless service. Evening and weekend availability is required, with compensation reflecting a competitive hospitality wage.

Qualifications

• Experience in serving within a restaurant, winery, or guest-facing hospitality setting.
• Strong wine knowledge and ability to explain varietals and pairings clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills; able to work in fast-paced outdoor or event-driven environments.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere for tastings and dining.
• Guide guests through wine tastings and menu offerings with knowledge of varietals and pairings.
• Deliver accurate, efficient service across wine and food orders.
• Present and pour wine according to tasting standards and proper glassware.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for seamless timing of service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, counters, and service areas.
• Process payments securely and complete shift-end reconciliations.
• Support tasting room events with setup, service, and breakdown.
