Job summary

Foss Swim School is seeking a Swim Teacher in Highland Park, IL for part-time, year-round coverage. Starting pay is $19.50/hour with opportunities for increases through training, weekend shifts (+$3/hour), and quarterly bonuses. Typical schedule includes 10–12 hours per week across 3 shifts, with weekday evenings around 3:30pm and weekends.

Training and ongoing support are provided. Ideal candidates are 18+ and enjoy helping children develop water safety skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• Must be able to work weekday evenings and weekend shifts
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move around a warm indoor pool environment

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons for 1–4 students using the FOSS Swim Path curriculum
• Create a safe, engaging learning environment and foster confidence in students
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and teammates
• Adapt lessons to individual student needs while maintaining safety and progress
