Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Montezuma, Indiana seeks a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site.

The ideal candidate maintains a clean driving record, adheres to LifeWise beliefs, and is punctual. Responsibilities include transporting students, enforcing safety rules, and assisting with classroom volunteering when approved.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver’s license held for the past three years.
• CDL with Passenger endorsement for vehicles seating more than 15 passengers.
• For 15-passenger vans, no special license required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safety of the bus.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed and ensure a safe environment for students.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and enforce safety rules.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
