Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Natchaug Hospital in Enfield, CT seeks a Student Support Paraprofessional for 30 hours/week, part-time. You will provide 1-to-1 IEP-related services under certified staff supervision, monitor student safety, and support learning while promoting positive behavior. Collaboration with teachers, clinicians, and support staff is essential.

Schedule is Monday–Friday; 8:15am–2:15pm, or per student schedule. No benefits. Career growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and procedures
• Effective communication skills

Responsibilities

• The Paraprofessional provides 1-to-1, IEP related services and attends to specified student needs under supervision
• Coaches students toward established goals to increase academic success and reduce behavioral disruptions
• Works collaboratively with assigned teachers, clinicians and other support staff
